2026 has started off with a bang! It's been a wild, but fun ride. Annual retreats, outreaches, a new school, moving to a new house, and another step towards adoption (yay!). I can honestly say these last few months I've said, 'He'll work it all out' more times than I thought possible. It's be a personal walk of faith, but also an incredible faith boost for my mom. The Lord, as always, has been so faithful. I'm daily thanking Him for His character and nature, knowing that He can be trusted in all things. I may not always understand it, but I can trust Him and how He moves. Staff Retreat This past month, our team spent a few days focusing on what the Lord was asking of us this coming season. It was a beautiful time to relax, take in nature, laugh, play loads of card games (my absolute happy place), eat great food, and connect on things that matter. We also had the privilege of praying out one of our families as they head to Mexico for their DTS. Little Miss loved having serious play time with her friends! Spring Break Outreach A few days after our retreat, we spent the week doing ministry during Corpus Christi’s spring break. We did evangelism at one of our busiest malls, handed out a free meal at a local park, talked and prayed with dozens of people, and ended with week praying over our city and its various expressions. One of things that stood out to me was how much the topic of family and foster care came up in prayer and within the community. One of the women we prayed for had grown up in foster care and was now raising a family member so they didn’t have to experience what she did. The Lord is moving in families, wanting to see chains broken, healing take place, and lives restored. Change starts in families! Introduction to Maritime Missions This week, we launched our first ever Introduction to Maritime Missions course! This is a very unique course within YWAM. It combines practical sailing experiences with intercultural missions training. This month they are spending most of their time on the water, getting an idea of what it means to become a crew member and gaining hands-on experiences with sailing. In May, they travel to Panama and Costa Rica, to learn what maritime missions looks like in a country and culture that is not their own. Then in June, they return to Corpus Christi to learn more of the fundamentals involved in sailing, such as safety and navigation. We are blessed with a couple of wonderful trainees who have such a heart to see the Gospel brought to the isolated communities of the world. Please pray for them as they dive into this new course, and for the staff who are walking alongside them in this journey. Moving I am so excited to say that we are moving into a house! Since my mom moved in and Little Miss has become an incredibly active 2-year-old, our current apartment is just not big enough for us anymore. We have spent the last couple of months looking around the city and found a great home on the outskirts of town. It’s in a quiet community with a small playground and pool. Each of us has a part of the house that we love, which can be hard to do! Our current apartment came with outside storage and lawn care included, which we will now need to provide ourselves. If you would like to help us out with these new expenses, we would really appreciate it! Check out the bottom for giving options! Adoption I can’t believe that we are almost there! 26 months ago, this wonder of an infant came into my home. She’s funny, kind, spicy, sweet, incredibly intelligent, and so very empathetic. It has been the greatest honor to see how she is growing and becoming who God has created her to be. My life became more of an adventure than I could have possibly imagined, and I am so thankful that the Lord saw fit to put us together. In February, we moved another step closer to her becoming a permanent member of the Cooper family! This has been a whirlwind of a journey and I would humbly ask for your continued prayers as we run this last leg. I look forward to hopefully being able to share more in the coming months!
